Metropolitan Homelessness Project hosted the first annual "Duke City Sleep Out" last Friday night. Nineteen participants raised over $3,000. There were prizes for most creative sleeping area, free drawings, lots of food and lots of fun.Here are some of the boxes (doghouse is mine...artwork compliments of a friend):
Everyone who slept out received a t-shirt with this year's artwork featured on the front.
We stayed up late chatting until worn out.
