I love the ravens in that area - and how HUGE they are when you get up close to them. They really do seem like some kind of spiritual creature.
As you mentioned in the previous post, there is something about the Desert Southwest that makes the internal seem so vast and available and near, ad sometimes it is encounters with animals that have such pronounced personality that moves one beyond normal patterns and day-to-day life. Even sitting in my back yard, when a hawk comes to visit, I am transported to a sense of timeless awe.
