"There's nothing redeeming about that movie," said a friend. He was referring to "Requiem for a Dream," a film that looks at addiction from multiple sides.
He was right. But it's a great film. (Soundtrack and link to film in column at right.)

I just watched the preview, looks really good, but you have to be in a certain frame of mind which I don't want to be right now.
that is a great movie. i like that is not redeeming in any way. is addiction ever a redeeming event? there are not always happy endings, i respect a movie that does not end with happiness.
