Worth Reading

If you get the opportunity, definitely read Hermann Hesse's A Day at the Spa. It's a wonderful look at all of life through the lens of his stay at the Baden Spa.

I've never heard of that one. I'll find it :-)

So if you were to recommend one of Hesse's books to start with, for someone who has never read him before...would it be this one?

Or,is this even a book?

It's a segment of his autobigraphical tales. For a first read, it's hard to beat the classic Narcisuss and Goldman.

Then again, I just finished "A Trip to Nuremburg" in the autobio tales; it's a great, brief read!!
