That reminds me of sailing. Once we get under way, I can't wait to get to a port to go explore but after a while of exploring I can't wait to get back to the boat. Verily, this is different from your thesis. Mine is more along the lines of,"the journey is the destination." Or maybe it is an example of how discontent humans are.
